DENNI, a proud pakana woman from North East Tasmania, continues the tradition of telling stories and expressing experiences through performance and song.
Inspiration
Kartanya Maynard takes us to putalina, Aboriginal land just south of Hobart, and talks about the importance of music, family and Country in her life.
Legacy
Uncle Ronnie Summers, story teller and musician, carried the tradition of the unique Cape Barren Island music from the remote island Community into the hearts and memories of generations of Tasmanian Aboriginal people.
